Instructional Design
Instructional Design is a toolbox that helps create and design learning experiences. Because in my opinion each learning is an experience and in order for the information to become knowledge, for the knowledge to become ability, we need to immerse with all of our senses into that learning experience.
My passion for instructional design comes from my purpose and mission, which is to redesign the process of learning in schools and in companies. Learning does not have to be cumbersome, it can be engaging and enjoyable. This is where instructional design can help companies have their employees feel more engaged when learning a new skill.
My instructional design services and skills include:
Project management
I will create the framework that includes the timeline, a thorough needs analysis where the specific requirements are identified, identify the learning objectives and outcomes. This is where the most suitable instructional design strategy is identified to facilitate the content delivery, whether that is an eLearning course, a PDF document or an in person training delivery.
Content development
Once you are happy with the scope of the project, I will then develop the content. This is where I will apply the most suitable learning theory, while working with a content expert or SME (subject matter expert) - that will provide knowledge on the topic. During this stage I will also create the storyboarding and identify all the interactive elements of the learning product.
Script writing
if this will be necessary, I will be writing this in collaboration with the SME.
Video editing
If video content is a part of the learning product, I will edit the video elements to suit the course.
