Financial Education
For this project I was the content creator and Instructional Designer, creating awareness regarding financial education for children and young people.
There was no content created already which meant I relied on my own financial education experience and other collaborators in this sector.

My response to the brief
Scoping and instructional design
To begin the instructional design process, I created a scoping document containing the company’s requirements regarding learning outcomes and learning theory design. There was an initial needs assessment reaching out to students to understand if this was the type of course they desired. After their response, I began to create the curriculum that created competencies on a basic level of financial education.
I used ADDIE for the instructional design process and the company’s learning theory (Engage, Learn, Practice, Master). We also used Asana as our tool for Project Management to map out the different phases of the project, the course curriculum and levels of approval with statuses and timelines.
Once this phase was completed, I began to design and develop the content. This meant creating content, editing videos in Premier Pro, adding images from a free library and consulting with our graphic designer for illustrations.
I have aligned the content to the learning theory of the company which meant to create 4 subtopics for each topic, as the level of engagement and practical activities was a part of the brand’s identity.
The practical activities always include reflection, open questions, quizzes, assessments and practical assignments that the students could upload and opt for a review from one of their tutors, to receive guidance.
